Okay, let’s talk about the absolute chokehold Addison Rae outfits have on me right now. Seriously, I used to just think of her as that cute TikTok dancer girl who was always showing up on my For You page. But lately? Her street style and her red carpet looks are actually insane. She totally went from sweet internet star to a full-on fashion IT girl and I am entirely here for this evolution.
I was scrolling through Pinterest at like 2 AM last night – as one does when they should definitely be sleeping – and I just kept saving all of her looks to my private mood boards. So obviously I had to write a whole blog post about it and share my absolute favorites with you guys today.
The Power of the Little Dress and High Boots
Look at these tiny dresses. Addison absolutely slays the mini dress and high boot combo every single time. You honestly cannot go wrong with this kind of silhouette for a fun night out with the girls. It just elongates your legs so much and makes you look super tall, even if you are on the shorter side like me. I actually tried wearing a super similar little black dress and knee high boots to a new club downtown last month. My feet were literally screaming by 1 AM because the leather boots were brand new and totally stiff. I ended up having to walk to the Uber barefoot on the cold sidewalk, but the Instagram pictures we took in the dirty bathroom mirror were totally worth the pain. You definitely need a powerful look like this in your outfit rotation for when you want to feel untouchable and super confident.
The Ultimate Y2K Concert Vibe
Okay this concert inspo is giving everything it needs to give right now. It is so perfectly Y2K and slightly edgy without looking like a costume. If you have any fun concerts or outdoor music festivals coming up this summer, you basically need to copy this exact formula. Parachute pants or loose cargos paired with a tiny little baby tee is literally the uniform of the season. I love that it is actually comfortable enough to jump around and dance in all night long without having to constantly adjust your clothes. You can just throw on some comfortable sneakers and you are totally good to go for hours.
Commanding Attention in Bright Red
Can we just take a quick second to appreciate this red dress? Red is totally the color of the season and Addison knows exactly how to pull it off perfectly. You just instantly command attention when you walk into any room wearing a shade this bold and fiery. I always tell my friends that if you are feeling a little insecure or having a bad body image day, just put on red lipstick or a bright red top and your confidence literally skyrockets. It is basically science at this point! This specific cut is so incredibly flattering and hugs her in all the right places.
Model Off-Duty Energy
This is the ultimate casual cool girl aesthetic that we are all constantly striving for. The oversized jacket layered over a super simple base layer is so easy to recreate with basic pieces you probably already own in your closet. I swear I tried doing this exact ‘model off duty’ look to go buy almond milk and avocados at Trader Joe’s last Tuesday. Of course, that was the one single day I ended up running into the guy I went on three really awkward dates with last year by the frozen food section. I was so incredibly glad I actually put an outfit together instead of wearing my stained grey sweatpants like I usually do on grocery runs! You really never know who you are gonna see out there, so it definitely pays to have an easy outfit formula like this one ready to go.
Old Hollywood Glamour
This blue red carpet moment lives in my head rent free. The bright color is so striking against her skin tone and the fit is absolute perfection. It is giving classic old Hollywood glamour but with a super modern, youthful twist to it. When you have a really formal event like a winter gala or a fancy black tie wedding to go to, taking some styling notes from this specific look is a very smart move. I love how she kept the hair and makeup relatively simple and fresh so the dress could really be the main character of the whole look.
The Perfect Date Night Top
I am totally obsessed with this one shouldered ruffled top situation. It is so flirty and feminine but still feels very fresh and modern. You could easily pair a dramatic top like this with some low rise vintage Levi’s and tiny kitten heels for the absolute perfect dinner date outfit. It shows just enough skin without trying too hard or looking overdone. I would probably add some delicate layered silver necklaces to draw attention to the beautiful neckline. It is such a romantic vibe for a warm summer evening when you are eating pasta and drinking wine on a patio somewhere.
The Mob Wife Faux Fur Flex
We absolutely have to talk about the fur coat street style moment because it is truly iconic. It is giving total mob wife aesthetic and I am completely obsessed with this whole trend. Throwing a massive, dramatic faux fur coat over a super simple outfit is such a huge fashion flex. You instantly look like you are a wealthy celebrity trying to avoid the paparazzi while getting your morning iced matcha latte. I actually bought a huge vintage faux fur coat at a Sunday flea market a few years ago. Every single time I wear it I feel like a million bucks. You literally just throw it over plain black leggings and a grey hoodie, and suddenly you are a fashion icon walking down the street. It is the ultimate lazy girl hack for looking rich and stylish with zero effort.
Breezy Summer Romance
This flowy white dress situation is exactly what I want to wear every single day all summer long. It looks so breezy, innocent, and romantic. A crisp white dress is a total wardrobe staple for when it is boiling hot outside but you still want to look somewhat put together for a daytime brunch. I actually had a gorgeous white eyelet mini dress that I wore to a fun rooftop day party last July. I felt so incredibly cute until I tripped over a random metal chair leg and spilled half a glass of dark red sangria right down the front of it. I basically had to hide in the tiny bathroom dabbing at the massive stain with club soda for twenty minutes while my best friend laughed at me through the door. So yeah, maybe avoid the dark red drinks if you try this stunning look!
Quintessential LA Street Style
This casual paparazzi shot is just quintessential LA style at its absolute finest. It is all about the tiny dark sunglasses, the comfortable but cute sneakers, and carrying an iced coffee like it is literally a paid designer accessory. I really love how she mixes sporty athletic elements with more elevated, structured pieces here. It completely shows that you do not have to sacrifice comfort to look trendy. You could wear this to a morning Pilates class and then straight to a lunch date without feeling weird about it. It is just so functional and effortlessly cool for everyday life.
Edgy Leather Concert Look
Here is another amazing concert look to add to our inspiration boards. The dark leather accents make this so incredibly cool and edgy. If you want to step out of your basic comfort zone a little bit, incorporating some leather or pleather pieces is the absolute easiest way to do it.
The Dangerous Black Cutout Dress
This edgy black red carpet dress is so insanely good. It is sleek, it is dangerous, and it is totally unexpected from her usual bubbly style. Black absolutely doesn’t have to be boring if you play with cool cutouts and interesting, structural silhouettes like she does here. Every girl needs at least one dark, moody dress in her closet that makes her feel like a literal bond girl on a secret mission.
Liquid Gold Party Energy
Okay, how stunning is this gold dress sitting on the couch? It literally looks like melted liquid metal and I cannot get enough of it. This is the absolute perfect inspiration for a crazy birthday party or a really extravagant New Years Eve night out in the city. You want an outfit that catches the light from every single angle when you are taking blurry flash photos with your digital camera in the club.
Having Fun With Fashion
I am ending on a super fun note with this cute costume street style moment. It shows that she really doesn’t take herself too seriously and knows how to have fun with fashion. Getting dressed up in silly or coordinated outfits with your best friend is honestly one of the best parts of going out anyway. Coordinating your looks without being too matchy-matchy is a total art form, and they totally nailed the execution right here. It just proves that fashion is supposed to be fun and expressive at the end of the day.
So there you have it guys! Those are all of my current favorite Addison Rae outfits that I am heavily using for my style inspiration this season.
