Warm minimalist spaces are everywhere this year. Honestly it makes sense. Stark white rooms feel a little cold, so people are swapping in creams, warm beige and soft terracotta instead.
The furniture stays simple. The color does the emotional work. It’s minimalism that actually feels lived in instead of sterile.
Textured Walls Add Depth
Flat walls are getting a little boring, apparently. Textured walls made from plaster, grasscloth or even simple trowel finishes are showing up in living rooms and bedrooms alike.
A limewash finish is a nice starting point if you’ve never done texture before. It hides imperfections and adds depth without much skill required, haha!
