15 Accessory Trends for 2026 (Guess What? They’re Here!)

1. Fortune Cookie Bags: The New It-Bag

For sure, this is a new trend. It’s that type of piece you weren’t really seeing much, or maybe weren’t paying much attention to, but it is definitely one of the big trends for 2026. This bag is fun, different, yet at the same time manages to be very elegant. It’s not that kind of fun but overly flashy bag. Not at all. It keeps a certain sophistication.

Because of its different and creative shape, this bag stands out. My tip? Choose the color according to your style. If your style is more sophisticated or traditional, neutral tones like brown and black will make this bag more discreet. But if you’re a more creative, fashion-forward woman, go for bolder colors like yellow, green, red, or even printed options.

If you’re looking for a distinctive bag, one you don’t see everyone using, the fortune cookie shaped bag is an excellent purchase. It brings a more creative and different touch compared to the crescent moon bag, which was a big hit at the beginning of 2025.

2. Metallic Hair Accessories: ’90s Glamour Returns

The main focus of this presentation will show silver and gold hair clips as the primary accessories. The elaborate design elements of these accessories share a similar style with those oversized metallic arm bands.

The hair clips include an elastic band which allows you to secure your hair while the front section displays golden or silver rings. These accessories create a contemporary fashion statement.

The accessory presents itself as a sophisticated and beautiful item despite its maximalist design. The accessory serves as a transformation tool which turns ordinary clothing into something special.

The accessory provides women with an excellent hair securing solution because it offers personal style and elegant flair without being too flashy. These accessories match the fashion taste of women who choose simple clothing but want to add sophisticated elements to their outfits. The accessories from the ’90s era maintain their style through their basic metal design which avoids glitter and crystals and complex details.

The accessories provide women with a way to enhance their minimalist style through glamorous additions when they need help finding appropriate combinations.

3. Metal-Framed Sunglasses: Sophisticated and Versatile

Did you notice they were a little forgotten? Well, in 2026, they’re back. Metal frame sunglasses usually bring more lightness and modernity. Some people prefer a more minimalist, delicate touch, and for those, I highly recommend metal frames.

They’ll appear in gold, silver, graphite, and rose gold – a huge variety of metallic shades. You can choose rounder frames, rectangular models, or the aviator model. This type of sunglasses is very versatile and works within casual chic and even boho. It especially favors more delicate faces and works perfectly if you’re a woman with a classic, urban, or minimalist style.

4. Crochet Bandanas: Bold and Romantic

Crochet bandanas came in strong among the trends for 2026. This trend, which started showing up in Europe, is very interesting because it’s a piece you can actually make yourself. In fact, I think it’s an excellent choice to grab a tutorial and try to make your own bandana.

This is a creative, bold, and romantic piece, but in my opinion, only the more creative women will invest in it. If you’re a bit more discreet and afraid of something too attention-grabbing, pick a bandana in a color close to your hair. If you’re blonde, go for a shade similar to your blonde. If you have black hair, choose a black crochet bandana. Done – you’ll be able to wear this accessory without it standing out too much.

5. Bold Gold Trend: Chunky and Statement-Making

This trend highlights larger-sized golden pieces. We’re talking about chunky necklaces, thicker bracelets, more structured earrings. Usually, these pieces won’t be too intricate.

You can invest in gold-plated steel pieces that, besides being practically eternal – they don’t peel, don’t tarnish, don’t deteriorate with time, and are waterproof – are also very budget-friendly.

This trend goes really well with more neutral pieces. I love the combination of larger golden statement accessories with the classic jeans and t-shirt look. If you love minimalism but also love that glamorous touch, this is definitely a trend you should start adding to your outfits.

6. Bowling Bags: Structured Yet Sweet

The bag design features its curved shape together with its structured components. The design of this bag draws inspiration from bowling ball carriers which makes it stand out as a unique piece. The bowling bags from 2026 display a smaller size compared to their longer predecessors which first emerged in early 2025.

The bag presents an elegant design structure which maintains its charming appeal. The bag’s rounded edges make it suitable for both classic female styles and romantic women who need functional handbags.

The bag looks best with clean fashion items including midi skirts and monochromatic clothing sets for formal occasions. The bag works well with sporty designs and rubber-finished versions which suit casual fashion styles.

7. Big Pearls: Delicate Meets Glam

We’ve had the pearl phenomenon since the beginning of 2025, but now pearls are making a comeback bigger, standing out more. These larger models add a more glam touch and naturally a bit more creativity. We’re talking about more maximalist pieces – big earrings, big necklaces, and even bolder oversized applications on clothing.

I’d say the best option is to pair them with minimalist pieces. That way, you can balance your looks and avoid anything overly extravagant. If your style is more classic or preppy, you’ll probably like this pearl aesthetic.

8. Straw Hats: Beyond the Beach

The straw hat, especially the bucket style with slightly shorter brims, is a strong trend for 2026. The most interesting thing is that it adapts well to different occasions, going beyond that traditional beach look. It’s light, relaxed, and perfect to wear on sunny days.

In 2026, we’ll see versions with slightly shorter brims, which works to our advantage because wearing very large hats isn’t always practical. These smaller models are much easier to incorporate day-to-day. If you’re over 40 or 50 and dealing with hot flashes from menopause, this is a super useful accessory since straw allows ventilation.

9. Fish Core: Creative and Fun

Here we have a super interesting trend – we’ll be seeing all kinds of fish and aquatic-themed items and accessories. Marine elements, shells, and all sorts of pieces inspired by this theme. It’s a creative trend but can also have a sophisticated edge, especially if you include more nautical elements.

As long as you avoid overly colorful or flashy items, you can definitely wear fish core accessories in your daily life. For something more elegant, stick to pieces without too many colors – for example, a bracelet with a fish or shell element, all in gold or silver.

10. Oversized Clutches: Maximalist Statement

Here we have clutch bags in a larger version. These larger handbags, which can even reach the size of a small pillow, combine strong visual impact with a robust accessory that’s also functional for carrying many items.

If you’re thinking of a bag for a special occasion like a dinner, then yes, I highly recommend this bag. You can pair this type of bag with a tailored blazer or with the elegant boho style of 2026. If you want to start in a simpler way, combine it with smaller pieces that don’t have much visual weight, so the bag becomes the standout item.

More Trends Worth Noting

Keychains and Bag Charms: This trend started in 2025 and promises to continue. The idea is to bring personality to your bag with keychains or charms related to your hobbies or profession. Follow your personality – if you like something, wear it!

Resin Necklaces and Bracelets: These pieces from the 1990s are making a comeback. Colorful, bold, large, and voluminous pieces embracing maximalism. Start with transparent pieces with no added color for something cleaner and simpler.

Wool Textured Bags: Bags made as if they were sheepskin leather with wool bring plenty of charm and comfort. This is perfect to add personality to casual looks like jeans and a t-shirt.

Faux Fur Collars: Coming in full force for 2026, bringing that glamorous vibe with a modern and ethical approach. Start with neutral tones and shorter hair fur if you’ve never worn it before.

Customized Sneaker Laces: All kinds of customization – colorful laces, ribbons, metallic versions. It’s a super cheap and accessible trend since you can take the sneakers you already have and simply add a different lace.
