Running out of room for your skincare, towels and all those little hair clips? These bathroom organization hacks give you plenty to work with, from divided drawers to baskets tucked behind a cabinet door.
I especially love the ideas that use space you might otherwise leave empty.
You can keep things simple with a small tray or go bigger with extra shelving. Start with the spot that needs the most help, then pick an idea that fits your bathroom.
Bathroom organization ideas worth trying
a rod for spray bottles
We’re starting off with such a clever use of cabinet space. The spray bottles hang by their triggers from a white rod, leaving room underneath for folded cloths and a scrub brush.
Try a tension rod rated for the weight of your bottles if you want to use this idea. Keep cleaning products secured away from children and pets.
clear skincare shelves
How pretty is this skincare setup? The clear organizer has tall bottles around the bottom and little jars on the smaller shelves above.
Give your daily products the easiest spots to reach. I love that you can see the bottles without having to dig through a bag.
clips inside the cabinet door
If you’re always searching for a bobby pin, this one is for you. Two dark strips hold rows of clips and pins inside the cabinet door, with hair ties hanging from hooks underneath.
Try magnetic strips for compatible metal clips. Keep the little hooks below for the accessories that won’t stick.
a tall skinny cabinet
I love how this narrow cabinet uses the space beside the door. There are rows of shallow shelves for bottles, with rails across the fronts.

If you want to try something similar, check the door clearance first. Shallow storage is worth considering when a deeper cabinet would get in the way.
little compartments for makeup
Don’t want all your makeup rolling around in one drawer? No problem!
Try a divided insert like this one, with separate spaces for compacts, pencils and small jars.
The long skinny sections are my favorite part. Give your liners their own row rather than letting them disappear underneath everything else.
hair tools behind the door
This is such a good way to give your hair tools their own spot. The gold-colored rack hangs over the cabinet door, with a hair dryer in the middle and other tools on either side.
Let tools cool completely before putting them away. Check that the rack and cords clear your shelves when the door closes.
a two-tier countertop tray
I am obsessed with this little two-tier display. The cotton balls and swabs have separate cups below, while a small dish and a candle sit up top.
Try a little dish like this for rings you take off before washing your hands. The greenery is a pretty extra touch if you have room.
baskets around the pipes
Working around awkward plumbing? This under-sink setup leaves the middle open and puts baskets on raised shelves at either side.
Taller cleaning bottles sit below the smaller containers.
Measure around your own pipes before choosing organizers. You could group bathroom cleaners in one basket and spare household supplies in another.
towel bars on the door
If you are looking for a way to use an empty door, this one is for you. Two towel bars hold white towels with smaller teal, gray and patterned towels layered over them.
I love that little touch of teal. For towels you’re actually drying, leave them spread out rather than copying the layered display.
colorful hanging shower baskets
How cute are these bright baskets? Green, blue, yellow and pink baskets hang in a vertical row beside the showerhead, each holding bottles or bath accessories.
You could assign a color to each person sharing the bathroom. Choose shower-suitable baskets and a hanging system that can support the full load.
stacked clear drawers
These clear drawers may just be one of my favorite ideas here. Folded cloths, bottles and boxed supplies each have their own compartment.

Try keeping your backups in the lower drawers and everyday items above. You can see what’s inside without opening every single one.
hanging baskets beside the sink
No room for another cabinet? This hanging basket rack gives you a different way to use the wall.
White towels sit at the top, bottles fill the middle basket and rolled towels go below.
I especially love the cream and gray towels together. Keep that simple color mix if you want a similar look.
a tray for soap and lotion
Don’t want to go overboard with countertop storage? No problem!
A small white tray holds two matching amber-colored bottles beside the sink.
The soap and lotion labels keep things clear. Add a little plant alongside the tray if you want to follow this pretty setup.
three shelves for toiletries
There’s so much to love about this three-tier stand. Tall pump bottles sit on top, with smaller bottles, tubes and jars arranged on the shelves below.
Try grouping your routine by shelf so you know where to put things back. Measure your tallest bottles first to make sure they’ll fit.
matching blue-gray jars
How adorable are these blue-gray containers? The taller one holds a toothbrush and toothpaste, while the little one keeps cotton swabs together.

I love the matching cord-wrapped rims and tray handles. Choose containers in two heights if you want this same mix without hiding the smaller items.
a cabinet above the toilet
That space above the toilet is worth a second look. Here, a two-door cabinet has an open shelf underneath for folded towels, a plant and a little jar.

Keep spare toiletries behind the doors if you prefer less on display. The basket on top is another option for extras you don’t need every day.
a wall shelf with a drawer
If you like having lots of little compartments, this one is for you. Bottles line the top of this white wall organizer, with smaller items tucked into the open drawer.
The cups and hanging toothbrushes underneath make use of another level. Check the mounting requirements before choosing a spot beside your sink.
small groups on the counter
I love this mix of a wire basket, a raised stand and a shallow tray. Tubes stay together on the left, while the smaller bottles have their own spot near the sink.
You don’t have to choose one big organizer for everything. Try separate containers for the things you use together.
a cart beside the vanity
This is another pretty way to add shelves without choosing a wall cabinet. The three-tier cart sits beside the vanity, with toothbrushes and soap on top, bottles in the middle and tissues below.
I especially love the dark frame against the brown trays. Leave enough room to reach each shelf without crowding the sink.
labeled bins for backups
Last but definitely not least, we have these clear labeled bins. Swabs, dental supplies and deodorant each have their own box, so the spare items aren’t all mixed together.
Use labels that match what you actually keep. The big lettering is a detail I’d copy for a cupboard full of similar-looking containers.
