20 Bathroom Vanity Cabinet Paint Colors and Ideas to Inspire Your Refresh

Looking for bathroom vanity cabinet paint colors that go beyond plain white? Think deep navy, dusty pink or even mustard yellow.

These pictures give you plenty to choose from, with simple cabinet styles and a few pretty details worth borrowing.

You can keep things neutral or go all out with color. There’s also a cabinet-free bathroom and a before photo here, so those are starting points for suggestions rather than finished painted vanity looks.

Bathroom Vanity Colors Worth Saving

deep navy and little gold knobs

We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous navy vanity. I love the little gold-colored knobs against the dark drawer fronts.

The white counter keeps things light above.

If you want to go a step further, try a round gold-colored mirror like this one. The basket tucked into the bottom shelf is a cute detail too.

muted olive with black handles

How pretty is this muted olive green? The black handles match the faucet, mirror frame and little wall lights.

Try this pairing if you want some color without going bright. A fern on the counter looks lovely beside the green cabinet.

charcoal and gold-colored pulls

I am obsessed with this charcoal vanity. The long gold-colored pulls are so pretty against the dark doors, especially with the matching round mirror above.

Keep the countertop and walls white if you want to follow this look. There’s plenty going on with just those few colors.

taupe beneath dark walls

If you are looking for a neutral that isn’t white, this one is for you. The taupe cabinet sits beneath dark vertical wall panels and a pale tiled backsplash.

That curved mirror may just be my favorite part. Try a similarly shaped mirror if you want something different from a plain rectangle.

dusty rose with rounded corners

How cute is this pink vanity? I love the rounded outer drawers and little gold-colored knobs.

The dusty rose shade looks so pretty beneath the white counter.

You don’t need a cabinet this shape to borrow the color. Try a muted pink on your own vanity with white-framed mirrors above.

deep green and a round mirror

This green vanity may just be one of my favorites here. I love the gold-colored handles against those simple paneled doors.

The green hand towel and leafy arrangement bring the color into the rest of the room. Pick one of those details if you want a little more green without painting anything else.

a pale neutral palette

Don’t want to go overboard with color? This bathroom gives you a pretty neutral palette with pale walls, beige towels and white fixtures.

There’s a pedestal sink here, not a vanity cabinet. If you’re borrowing the palette for a separate vanity project, I’d try a light beige cabinet with a white counter.

soft black with dark hardware

If you’re looking for a dark vanity without shiny gold details, go with this soft black look. The dark knobs and handles keep the cabinet simple.

I love the lighter brown mirror frame above it. Try that pairing rather than matching every piece in black.

powder blue and patterned flooring

This powder blue vanity is just so pretty. The little curved details at the feet and the decorative mirror give you plenty to love.

The floor repeats the blue alongside white. If you already have a patterned floor, try pulling your cabinet color from one of its quieter shades.

terracotta with black accents

Want something a little different from blue and green? Try this terracotta-colored vanity.

It looks so good with the slim black handles and two round mirrors.

Keep a pale counter if you want to follow this combination. I’d let that orange-brown cabinet be the main splash of color.

gray-green with an open shelf

I am obsessed with this gray-green vanity. The open shelf gives you room for the folded white towels and basket shown here.

The ornate gold-colored mirror is gorgeous too. Pair a muted green cabinet with a decorative mirror if you like this mix of simple and dressy details.

teal cabinets and pink flowers

This is another pretty way to bring green into your bathroom, but there’s more blue in this shade. The teal vanity matches the tall cabinet on the left.

I especially love the pink tulips on the counter. Add a little pink through flowers if you want to try that color combination without committing to another painted surface.

mushroom taupe and ridged doors

Don’t want a bright cabinet and want something a little softer? This mushroom taupe vanity is for you.

The narrow ridges on the doors are such a pretty detail.

The small gold-colored knobs keep things simple. I’d leave the countertop mostly clear, just like this.

burgundy and brown inspiration

If you love darker colors, this mood board gives you a lovely combination to consider. There’s a burgundy vanity, a brown paint swatch and a dark floral pattern.

The swatch is labeled “Wild Truffle” by Behr, but that label doesn’t identify the burgundy cabinet color. I’d use the board as pairing inspiration rather than a paint match for the vanity.

a brown vanity before painting

Have a vanity that looks something like this? The picture is labeled as a before photo, with brown cabinet fronts and a pale beige counter. There isn’t a painted result shown.

For a possible refresh, I’d try muted olive or a creamy off-white. Compare samples beside the existing counter before choosing your shade.

slate blue and clear knobs

I love this slate blue vanity with its little clear knobs. The large rectangular mirror and pale gray walls keep the rest of the room simple.

If gold-colored hardware isn’t your favorite, save this pairing. The silver-colored faucet looks lovely with the blue cabinet.

mustard yellow and a vessel sink

How cute is this yellow vanity? That mustard shade is hard to miss against the gray walls and floor.

I especially love the slatted panel on the cabinet door.

Try a white sink and simple round mirror if you want to borrow this look. The yellow doesn’t need much extra decoration.

dusty mauve with black details

This is a similar pink idea to the one above, but it’s a little moodier. I love how the dusty mauve cabinet picks up the color of the wall beside the window.

The black mirror frame, faucet and handles tie it together. Choose black rather than gold-colored hardware if you prefer this version.

deep burgundy with matching storage

This burgundy vanity is absolutely gorgeous. The tall cabinet carries the same dark color up the wall, with gold-colored pulls on both pieces.

If you have extra bathroom cabinetry, try painting it to match your vanity. The pale tile here leaves plenty of room for that deeper shade.

off-white and gold-colored handles

Last but definitely not least, we have this pretty off-white vanity. I love the long gold-colored handles and the large round mirror above it.

If you want to keep your cabinet color simple, borrow the leafy arrangement and brown shelves for a little variety. You don’t have to choose a bold paint color to make the space feel more personal.
