Looking for eclectic boho decor that leaves room for all your favorite colors? Think orange chairs, patterned rugs and plants trailing around a doorway.
These rooms mix bold little details with simple pieces, so there’s plenty to try without changing everything you own.
You can keep things simple or go all out. Start with a few colorful pillows or give an empty wall a whole collection of art.
I especially love the pink and orange bedroom below!
Eclectic Boho Decorating Ideas to Save
green sofa and trailing plants
We’re starting off strong with this gorgeous green sofa and all those trailing plants. I love the dark patterned rug beneath the round cutout coffee table.

If you want to go a step further, try an open-frame pendant like the one here. Those shadows across the ceiling are such a pretty extra detail.
orange bedding and blue walls
How cute is this orange and pale blue pairing? The throw spills across the bed while little geometric pillows bring both colors together.
Try round mirrors above your headboard instead of one large picture. The two here sit at different heights, with trailing greenery beside them.
a colorful stairway gallery
If you are looking for a way to fill that blank stairway wall, this one is for you. There’s so much to love, from the oversized floral picture to the little portraits tucked between larger frames.
Mix frame sizes to follow this look. That green front door is worth saving for color inspiration too!
plum throws and striped pillows
I am obsessed with this little sofa corner. The plum throw and striped pillows look so pretty against the white seating.
An orange round pouf brings another color down beside the pink patterned rug. Try that detail if you want something a little different from a matching footstool.
rainbow dining chairs
Don’t want every dining chair to match? No problem! This table has yellow, orange, blue, green and red chairs gathered around it.
I love how the colorful artwork joins in without taking over the white walls. A vase of red flowers is a lovely finishing touch.
hanging plants by the sink
This kitchen may just be one of my favorites here. I love the hanging plants on either side of the window and the little pots along the shelves.
The white cabinets keep the room simple while the red patterned runner adds plenty of color. Start with a runner like this if your own kitchen needs a small change.
mustard walls and a peacock chair
If you love a room with lots to look at, then this corner is for you. The tall peacock chair sits beside an ornate dark mirror, with antler displays and small decorative pieces filling the mustard walls.

My favorite detail is the burgundy patterned cushion. You could borrow just the chair and cushion combination without recreating the entire wall.
green tiles and lantern lights
How pretty is this green bathroom? Small square tiles cover the shower walls while a green-and-white pattern runs across the floor.
The lantern-style wall lights are my favorite part. If you’re planning a similar bathroom, try that shape instead of plain sconces.
books and little collected objects
Don’t want your shelves to hold only books? Take a little inspiration from this display.
A model ship, camera and small white bust sit between upright books and stacked magazines.
Try leaving a little space around your favorite piece, like the ship here. You don’t have to fill every gap.
a pink reading corner
I love this low pink chair beside the packed bookcase. The cream patterned pillow and striped throw are just too cute together.
There’s a little table for a cup and more books right beside it. Add an arched floor lamp if you want to follow the same setup.
a canopy and pink fan
This is such a pretty way to frame a bed. The sheer canopy falls around the headboard, with a pink fan-shaped decoration showing through the middle.
I especially love the round pink pillow. Try one against cream bedding if you want to borrow a small part of this room.
an entry bench with patterned pillows
Give your entryway a little color with a bench full of patterned pillows. The rust, burgundy and blue look gorgeous beneath that ornate mirror.
Hanging plants sit on either side of the frame. Keep them clear of the seat if you’re trying a similar arrangement.
olive orange and plum
I am obsessed with the colors in this mood board. The olive sectional and orange armchair look so good with the deep purple round cushion.
The tile samples bring in even more plum, green and gold-colored details. You could use this collage as a starting point for choosing your own room colors.
a plant-filled desk wall
Who says your desk corner has to be plain? This one has a long shelf of trailing plants above the monitors and a leafy green cushion on the brown chair.
The muted pink wall is so pretty behind all that greenery. I’d keep that color if recreating this office.
patio lanterns and a hanging chair
How cute is that butterfly pillow? The hanging chair is already a lovely detail, but the colorful lanterns and sun-face floor cushion make this patio even more fun.
Try outdoor-rated lanterns above your seating to borrow the look. You can stick to orange, pink and white like the ones here.
a basket wall above the bench
If you’re looking for wall decor without framed prints, go with a basket arrangement like this. The different circular patterns look so pretty above the long white bench.
Add a few orange and burgundy pillows if you want the same mix of simple seating and bold color.
tan seating and a tall pendant
Don’t want to go overboard with the colors? No problem! Try tan and brown seating with a muted patterned rug, just like this living room.
I love the long fringed pendant above the coffee table. It gives you something interesting overhead without filling the walls.
pink flowers and orange pillows
OMG, how adorable is this floral bedding? The little pink flowers look so cute with the orange pillows and pink headboard.
This room takes the flowers beyond the bed too, with a bright hanging display and yellow blooms tucked among the wall baskets. Pick one of those details if you want a smaller dose of the look.
a doorway framed with greenery
This is one of my favorite plant ideas on the list. Long vines trail from pots above the doorway, almost reaching the larger plants on the floor.
Try a properly secured shelf above your own doorway if the light suits your plants. Leave the opening clear so the vines stay out of your way.
mixed chairs and glowing lamps
Last but definitely not least, we have this colorful living and dining room. I love the mismatched chairs around the long table! The orange seating and red patterned rug look lovely together.
Little lamps are dotted around the shelves and seating area. Try a yellow dome-shaped lamp if you want to borrow one especially cute detail.
