Looking for guest bedroom ideas with twin beds that feel a little more personal? Matching headboards are a lovely place to start, but don't stop there.
Think green checks, little floral pillows or a shared bedside table with a pretty lamp.
You can keep things simple or go all out with patterns. Most of these rooms feature paired beds, with a single-bed detail idea and a daybed included for a different layout.
There’s plenty here to help you put your own room together.
Twin Bed Guest Room Ideas to Save
scalloped headboards and cream bedding
We’re starting off strong with these gorgeous scalloped headboards. I love the tiny stripes against the checked wall.
The cream bedding and dark brown pillows keep the colors simple.
Try a shared chest between your beds with one large lamp, just like this. The baskets at the foot of each bed are a pretty detail too.
floral bedding and dark bed frames
How cute is this floral bedding? The dark curved bed frames and ruffled white edges look so pretty together.
Two little lamps sit on the shared table with flowers between them. If you want to follow this look, try a small basket on the shelf underneath rather than adding more things on top.
stripes checks and floral pillows
I am obsessed with this mix of patterns. There are pale green wall stripes, red patterned headboards and checked bed skirts, all in the same room!

The cream bedcovers leave a little room between all those prints. Keep that plain layer if you want to try a similar combination.
spindle beds and orange flowers
If you are looking for a room with just a little color, this one is for you. Orange floral pillows sit in front of green pillows on the matching spindle beds.
My favorite part is the picture ledge above them. Try leaning two differently sized prints there instead of hanging a matching picture over each bed.
green checks and lilac pillows
This may just be one of my favorite color combinations here. The lilac pillows are so cute with the green walls and checked benches.
A dark blue chest sits beneath the window with a curvy green lamp on top. You could repeat that blue in a small accessory if you want to bring another piece into the room.
blue headboards and ship pictures
Love blue and white? There’s plenty to save here, from the striped shaped headboards to the patterned blue pillows.
The ship pictures fill the wall above and between the beds. I especially love the two wall lights beside the middle prints, leaving the shared table mostly clear.
dark headboards and pale pink trim
These tall dark headboards are absolutely gorgeous. The little floral motifs on the pillows echo the wallpaper, with pale pink edging around the bedding.
Don't forget to look up at the white plates! Try a few around a botanical print if you want something different from a wall full of framed pictures.
a little floral gallery wall
This photo shows one bed rather than a twin-bed pair, but that floral gallery wall is worth a closer look. I love the oval frame mixed in with all the rectangles.
For your two-bed room, you could arrange a similar group above the shared nightstand. Keep the ruffled white pillow idea if you like the bedding here too.
black frames and a shared chest
The white bedding is my favorite part of this simple room. A few striped pillows and muted green throws add just enough pattern and color.
Try that combination if you’d rather keep your bedding mostly plain.
The black bed frames match the wall lights above them. I like the large woven chest at the foot of the left bed too.
green gingham headboards
I am obsessed with these green gingham headboards. Their curved tops are so pretty beneath the little carved mirror.
The matching bed skirts carry the checks down to the floor. Add smaller floral patterns on your pillows if you want to follow this room without making every piece gingham.
painted beds and blue stripes
How lovely are these pale painted bed frames? The blue striped pillows, checked accents and white covers make such a pretty combination.

A landscape picture hangs between two shaded wall lights. I’d keep that arrangement if you want flowers on the little bedside table without a lamp beside them.
blue and white plates
If you love decorating with blue and white, this one is for you. Patterned plates hang beside the window, with more blue-and-white details on the pillows and shared chest.

The pair of tall lamps is a lovely touch. Try pale blue shades like these to repeat the bedding color.
checked skirts and a red rug
There is so much to love in this room. The pale geometric wallpaper, floral pillows and large checked bed skirts all bring something different.
My favorite part is the red patterned rug beside the beds. If your room is mostly pale blue and white, you could try that same little change of color on the floor.
striped beds and tasseled canopies
Want to go all out? Take a look at the striped canopy crowns above these four-poster beds.
The scalloped edges and hanging tassels are such pretty details.
Stripes show up again on the bedding and the lamp between the beds. I’d keep the walls plain if you’re trying a similarly decorated setup.
a daybed with layered pillows
Working with a different layout? This image shows a single daybed, not two separate beds.
The white frame is lined with brown, green and dark floral pillows over small checked bedding.
You could use this as an alternative for a room that also needs a sitting area. I love the two large black-and-white pictures above it.
green panels and animal accents
How cute are the little animal accents? This room has a younger look, with stuffed toys and a lion pillow on the beds.
The tall green panels behind the black frames are worth saving for a guest room too. For a less child-focused version, skip the name decoration and toys while keeping the green bedding and dark lamps.
pink benches and floral walls
This floral room may just be my favorite one so far. I love the scalloped headboards and the pink benches at the foot of each bed.
Green pillows and folded green throws repeat across both sides. Try that same pairing if you want pink in your room without making all the bedding pink.
cream checks and chunky throws
Don’t want lots of color in your guest room? No problem there!
This room pairs cream covers with beige checked pillows and chunky looped throws.
The dark bed frames and wall lights stand out against the pale walls. A chest at the foot of the left bed gives you another detail to borrow if your layout has space.
yellow throws and round blue pillows
The yellow and blue pairing is so cute in this room. I especially love the round blue pillows beside the smaller red patterned ones.
Try yellow throws across white bedding to bring in that same splash of color. The red artwork above the beds is a lovely way to repeat the reddish tones below.
plaid bedding and paneled walls
Last but definitely not least, we have this cabin-style room with two beds fully visible and part of a third on the right. The black frames look so good against the golden-brown paneled walls.
I love the plaid pillows and matching folded covers. Pair a similar plaid with yellow and cream bedding if you want to try these colors in your own guest room.
