Looking for mediterranean laundry room decor with a little more color and character? Think orange-toned floors, blue patterned tiles and shelves filled with baskets.
These rooms give you plenty to choose from, with a few close-up decorating ideas you can borrow for your own space.
You can keep things simple or go all out. Start with striped towels and a pretty planter, or save an arched tile nook for a bigger makeover. I especially love the blue sink below!
Mediterranean laundry room ideas worth saving
red floors and a window bench
We’re starting off with this pretty red-tiled floor and white laundry nook. I love the long bench beneath the window, especially with that little striped cushion.
Try baskets underneath your bench for a similar setup. The hooks beside the door give you another detail to borrow if your laundry room doubles as an entryway.
blue-green tiles and open shelves
How gorgeous is this blue-green backsplash? The glossy rectangular tiles go all the way behind the open shelves, with white cabinets below.
If you want to follow this look, mix folded towels with small plants rather than filling every shelf with jars. I’d keep the counters mostly clear just like this.
a tall textured alcove
This alcove may just be one of my favorite details here. I love the irregular block pattern behind the flowers and the brown cabinet underneath.
Across from it, rows of matching jars sit above a deep apron-front sink. Try a narrow runner down the middle to bring the two sides together.
orange walls and an arched window
I am obsessed with the orange shades in this room. The walls, floor and diamond-patterned backsplash all have slightly different tones.
Those little blue tile accents are so pretty.
If you’re choosing mediterranean decor laundry room colors, this orange-and-blue pairing is worth saving. Add a pale window curtain like the one here if you want to break up the color.
baskets and hanging purple blooms
If you love baskets, this one is for you. They fill the shelves, sit beneath the open window and line the left side of the room.
The hanging purple flower bundles are my favorite part. For a smaller version of the look, try a basket of purple stems on a shelf rather than recreating the whole overhead display.
olive cabinets and a little chandelier
Who says you have to stick to white cabinets? This olive-green wall looks so pretty with the gold-tone handles and shaded chandelier.
I especially love the hanging rail tucked beside the tall center cabinet. The laundry cart fits between the two machines, leaving the middle of the room open.
a slatted sliding door
Don’t have a whole room to decorate? This recessed laundry setup gives you something a little different.
A pale slatted door slides across the stacked dark machines and adjacent storage.
The faded red runner is a lovely extra touch. Try a similar color outside your laundry nook if the doors and cabinets are otherwise plain.
matching baskets and gold-tone rails
How cute is this basket arrangement? The smaller ones sit on two shelves while three tall hampers fit into their own cubbies below.
I love the gold-tone rails across the wall. Keep a few pale towels on the lowest one if you want to follow this simple cream-and-brown look.
a lemon tree in a blue pot
This close-up isn’t a laundry room, but that blue planter is such a pretty detail to borrow. The yellow lemons look gorgeous against the dark blue.
For your own laundry space, try that same yellow-and-blue combination with a planter or small print. If you want a living citrus tree, check its growing needs before choosing a spot.
a mosaic arch and blue sink
I am obsessed with this arched laundry nook. Tiny tiles cover the recess behind the white machines, with a dark blue border following the curve.
Then there’s that blue patterned bowl sink! I’d keep the nearby accessories simple so you can really enjoy both details.
blue patterned tiles
If you are looking for a backsplash with plenty of detail, this one is for you. The blue, cream and muted orange pattern looks so pretty behind the gold-tone faucet.
A little framed botanical picture sits on the shelf above. Try leaning a small print beside your laundry jars for a similar touch.
red stripes and tied bows
How adorable are those little bows? This window detail has red-and-cream striped curtains tied onto a rustic-looking pole.
You could borrow the stripe pattern for a laundry room curtain without changing anything else. I’d keep the ties visible just like this.
cream tiles and a tiny landscape
Don’t want to go all out with colorful tile? No problem!
Try this pale backsplash with vertically arranged rectangles and a small framed landscape.
The brown cabinet fronts and gold-tone faucet add a little color without any bold pattern. I love the large basket tucked into the open space beneath the drawer.
oversized shades and a sink curtain
These hanging shades are so cute together. Each has a slightly different shape, with a pale curtain covering the storage under the sink.
The orange-and-cream floor pattern gives you another lovely detail to borrow. If you already have a plain floor, try framed fruit prints like the ones on the ledge instead.
checks and simple stripes
Looking for a small change rather than a room makeover? This stack of checked and striped towels is a pretty place to start.
I love the loose black grid on the top towel. Mix it with smaller checks and pale stripes if you want a similar combination on your laundry shelf.
pale textured walls and dark beams
The pale block walls and dark ceiling beams are gorgeous together. With so much texture already in the room, the white machines and simple shelf fit right in.
Try matching pale canisters along your shelf to borrow a smaller part of this look. A basket of folded towels finishes the counter without filling it up.
dark cabinets and an arched window
This is another lovely arched-window idea, but the dark brown cabinets give it a different look. I especially love the orange floor with its pale grout lines.
Keep a couple of small plants on the sill if you want to follow this arrangement. The baskets on the upper shelves repeat the brown tones without adding more cabinets.
scalloped pots by the sink
I know the blue lemon planter above is gorgeous, but these scalloped pots are another favorite. The wavy rims are just so cute.
This sink-side close-up is a detail you could bring into a laundry room. Try a pair of similar planters near a suitable window, choosing plants that suit the light you have.
arched windows and basket shades
If you are looking for a whole-room idea to save, then this one is for you. There’s so much to love, from the dark-framed arched windows to the exposed ceiling beams.
The two rounded pendant shades are my favorite part. Baskets and folded white towels fill the open shelves below the sink, leaving the center counter fairly clear.
leafy shelves and a red runner
Last but definitely not least, we have this pretty narrow laundry room. I love the red patterned runner between the white cabinets and machines.
The ferns add so much green to the shelves and window area. Try a patterned runner with baskets above and below the counter if you want to borrow this look without changing your cabinets.
