Looking for powder room ideas with pedestal sink designs that feel a little more personal? Think floral walls, pretty oval mirrors and a shelf for those things that never quite fit on the sink.
You can keep the colors simple or go all out with pink walls and a patterned floor.
These pictures include pedestal sinks plus several console, wall-mounted and cabinet alternatives. A few focus on decorating details rather than the sink itself, so there’s plenty to borrow without copying the whole room.
Pretty Sink Setups and Powder Room Details
dark florals and a gold oval
We’re starting off strong with these gorgeous floral walls. I love the oversized gold-colored mirror and the little red flowers in the wallpaper.
This sink is wall-mounted rather than a pedestal style. If you want to borrow the look for yours, try a gold-colored oval mirror with a light on either side.
gray walls and black accents
If you are looking for something simple to put together, this one is for you. The white pedestal sink has a squared basin with stepped edges, paired with a round black-framed mirror.
Keep the faucet and towel ring black if you want to follow the same combination. The gray hand towel is all the extra color this little corner needs.
charcoal paneling and gold legs
How pretty is this sink against the charcoal paneling? The gold-colored legs and exposed pipework are my favorite parts.
This is a console sink rather than a pedestal, but the black-and-white floor would look lovely with either. Try a patterned hand towel if you want another small detail.
an oval mirror and paired towels
I am obsessed with this neat little sink nook. The tall oval mirror sits below a shaded light, with a small window right at the top.
The two white towels hanging beside the pedestal are so cute. Don’t overlook the little black flower shapes on the floor either!
sage green and white paneling
Don’t want to go overboard with patterns? No problem! Try sage green walls above white vertical paneling, just like this room.
I love the brown mirror frame beside the gold-colored light. The basket next to the white pedestal sink keeps that same brown color going.
big flowers and an open shelf
How cute are these floral walls? The pink, coral and yellow flowers cover both sides of the corner.
The sink here sits on a white console with a drawer and an open lower shelf, not a pedestal. You can still borrow the wallpaper idea and pair it with a plain white sink.
little prints and a wall shelf
This is one of my favorite decorating details on this list. I love the tiny floral prints on the curtain and lampshade, especially beside that dark brown mirror frame.
The sink base isn’t shown here, but the small wall shelf is worth saving. Try a shelf with a towel rail underneath if you need somewhere for both bottles and a hand towel.
taupe molding and a tiny table
Need somewhere to put soap beside a small pedestal sink? This little round table is such a pretty idea.
It holds a bottle and soap dish without crowding the basin.
The taupe wall molding and black arched mirror are gorgeous together. I’d keep the white towel with its thin dark border too.
a narrow mirror and sculpted backsplash
If you love a simple room with one dressy detail, take a look at this tall mirror. The little ornament at the top is so pretty.
This is another wall-mounted sink rather than a pedestal. Its pale veining and shaped backsplash are lovely, but you could borrow just the narrow mirror and single shaded light for your own setup.

a shelf tucked into the corner
Don’t have room for a table beside your sink? This small corner shelf gives the bottles a spot of their own.
Only part of the basin is visible here, so the sink base isn’t shown. For your pedestal sink, consider a similar shelf within reach rather than lining everything up around the faucet.
a gathered sink skirt
I am obsessed with this patterned sink skirt. It’s so pretty against the pale blue walls, especially with that curved brown mirror above.
The skirt hides the sink base, so we can’t see what’s underneath. If you want to try this look, choose a gathered skirt with a small repeating print and keep the sink accessories simple.
pale veining and an oval mirror
If you’re looking for a pedestal sink idea that keeps the colors simple, go with this pale, veined backdrop and white basin. The oval mirror fits neatly above the gold-colored faucet.
A little greenery on one side is a lovely finishing touch. There’s no need to fill the whole sink ledge.
dusty pink and checkerboard
This pink room may just be my favorite one so far. I love how the color continues across the ceiling, with a gold-colored oval mirror above the slim white pedestal.
The gray-and-white checkerboard floor is just as pretty. Try a small scalloped light like this one if you want another sweet detail.
green walls and botanical pictures
The green walls and little botanical pictures are so cute together. This room uses a cabinet vanity, not a pedestal sink, so it’s a different storage setup.
For a pedestal version, borrow the black-framed artwork and tall rounded mirror. I’d keep the black-and-white rug too.
a long shelf above the sink
This is such a good shelf idea to save. The long brown ledge sits between the round mirror and pedestal sink, with room for little containers and a vase.
I love the white horizontal paneling with the black faucet. The patterned floor adds plenty of detail without needing more decorations on the walls.
an oversized ornate mirror
If you are looking for a true eye-catcher, then this mirror is for you. The gold-colored frame has so many pretty curls and leafy details.
There’s a wide cabinet vanity underneath rather than a pedestal sink. To borrow the idea for a smaller setup, choose an ornate mirror sized for your wall and add a simple white towel nearby.
cream walls and a green vase
Don’t want to add wallpaper and want something a little simpler? This cream-and-white room is a lovely starting point.
The squared pedestal sink sits beneath a white-framed mirror with a light on either side.
The bright green vase is my favorite little detail. Try one colorful accessory rather than filling every surface.
blush walls and white tile
I love this blush pink above the white rectangular tiles. The slim mirror and white-shaded lights look so pretty with the framed pictures.
This image shows a console sink with silver-colored legs, plus part of a tub, rather than a pedestal-only powder room. The wall colors are still a lovely combination to borrow.
framed art above the toilet
Who says the sink wall gets all the pretty details? This picture focuses on the toilet area, with framed artwork, pink flowers and a hanging light covered in sparkling drops.
No sink is visible here. Save this one for the other side of your powder room, especially if you’d like to hang a larger picture above the toilet.
blue checks and floral wallpaper
Last but definitely not least, we have this adorable floral powder room. I love the blue checked towel beside the white pedestal sink!
The clipped-corner mirror and gold-colored faucet look so pretty against the wallpaper.

Try a small shelf above the toilet for a framed picture and vase. The basket of extra towels is another detail worth borrowing.
