20 Vintage Patio Decor Ideas With Pastel Chairs, Flowers and Pretty Lights

Looking for vintage patio decor ideas with a little color and plenty of flowers? Think pastel garden chairs, blue patterned dishes and little tables tucked beside your plants.

These spaces include patios, porches and garden corners, so there’s plenty to borrow for your own setup.

You can keep things simple or go all out. Start with a pair of pretty chairs, or give a whole corner over to patterned rugs and hanging lights.

I especially love the small displays you can put together without changing all your furniture.

Vintage-inspired patio looks to try

pastel rose chairs

We’re starting off strong with these super cute pastel chairs. I love the rose-shaped backs and the mix of pink, lavender, yellow and turquoise. Even the legs have different colors!

If you want to try this look, choose a few pastel shades rather than making each chair one solid color.

a little table for two

If you are looking for something simple to put together, this one is for you. A round brown table and two scroll-back chairs fit into this balcony corner.

The striped seat cushions are a pretty little addition. Try a similar small dining set beside your railing if you’re working with a narrow space.

stripes and flower-back chairs

How cute is this striped awning? The scalloped edge is my favorite part, though those flower-shaped chair backs are a close second.

There’s already plenty to look at with the patterned floor and large wall lantern. Keep your tabletop clear if you want to follow this little bistro setup.

green seating and floral pillows

I am obsessed with this green porch seating. The floral pillow and striped seat cushion are so pretty together.

There are flowers on the little tables too!

Try pale green furniture with pink, purple and white flowers if you want a similar combination. A small footstool can become another spot for a flower display when you aren’t using it.

hanging jars and mismatched chairs

Want to go a little further with your evening setup? This garden has glowing jars and strings of bulbs hanging above a mix of chairs.

The low table with flowers makes a sweet little gathering spot.

For your own version, use outdoor-rated lights and battery lights inside hanging jars. You don’t need matching chairs to follow this idea.

a tub full of flowers

This planter may just be one of my favorites here. I love the tiny white flowers around the tall grasses and purple blooms.

The trailing greenery spilling over the front is gorgeous too.

Add a lantern beside your planter if you want that same evening glow. I’d choose a battery candle near all those leaves.

blue bench and floral cushion

I love this pale blue bench with its floral seat cushion. The patterned openings in the back are just too cute.

A hanging plant above the seat gives you another place for greenery without filling up the floor. Keep that idea in mind for a little porch corner.

blue mosaic bistro set

If you’re looking for a colorful table without lots of extra decorations, go with a blue-and-white mosaic design like this one. The chair on the right repeats the blue mosaic in its back, while the left has open scrollwork.

Plain pale cushions let you keep the rest simple. A few pots beside the table are all I’d add.

blue-and-white dish display

If you love collecting pretty dishes, this one has plenty of inspiration. Blue-and-white speckled cups, pitchers and bowls fill the table and shelves.

There are even matching pieces hanging on the wall.

I especially love the blue hanging shade above the table. Try repeating one color across your display rather than making every piece match.

window backdrop and white chairs

How sweet is this little garden corner? The white window-frame backdrop has a wreath in the middle and plants arranged along its ledge.

The worn-looking white chairs and small round table sit right in front. If you already have a plain garden wall, you could borrow just the wreath and potted flower display.

a bathtub garden

A bathtub full of flowers? I am obsessed with this!

The weathered white tub is packed with purple blooms and tall grasses, with its little feet still showing underneath.

This one sits beside a gravel garden path rather than on a patio. Borrow the idea for a garden border if you want a larger vintage-style feature.

a big fan-back chair

This chair is such a pretty choice if you want one large piece to decorate around. I love the tall fan-shaped back and all those little loops along the edge.

The pale cushion and matching round side table keep things simple. This is an enclosed window corner, but you could try a similar arrangement on a covered porch with furniture suited to the conditions.

birdbath and blue flowers

Give your garden edge a little attention with a pedestal birdbath like this one. The ring of tiny blue flowers is my favorite part of the display.

The rounded stones make a clear border around the planting. Try this beside a patio path rather than placing everything in the middle of your seating area.

pastel garden party tables

How adorable is this outdoor table setup? Pink and blue chairs sit alongside floral and checked tablecloths.

The pale balloons make it feel ready for a party.

You can mix your patterns here instead of buying matching tablecloths. Keep the plates plain if you want to follow the same look.

a drinks cart with flowers

This is a lovely way to give your patio a little serving spot. The wheeled cart holds a large lemon-filled drinks jar, glasses and a tall decorative decanter.

I love the blue flowerpot on the lower shelf beside the bucket of bottles. Leave room for one plant if you want your drinks station to feel like part of the garden.

blue ladder and floral teacups

I know the blue dish display above is gorgeous, but this ladder shelf is another favorite. Mostly because the floral teacups look so cute beside the blue-and-white teapot.

Try mixing small flower arrangements with a few decorative pieces on each shelf. I’d keep books and framed pictures in a dry, sheltered spot rather than leaving them exposed outside.

simple herb pots

Don’t want to go overboard with the decorations? No problem! Group a few reddish-brown herb pots beside your door, just like this.

I love the little flower motif on the largest pot. Different heights and a mix of leafy shapes give you plenty to look at without adding anything else.

a long table and benches

If you’re looking for a dining setup that keeps the decorations simple, go with a long table and plain benches like these. The crossed supports and weathered-looking finish give it that lovely farmhouse feel.

A small pot of pink flowers sits on a round tray in the middle. I’d leave the rest of the tabletop just like this.

colorful lanterns overhead

I am obsessed with these colorful hanging lanterns. The pink, orange, blue and pale green look so pretty among the little glowing bulbs.

Hang outdoor-suitable lanterns at a few different heights if you want to try this arrangement. The wind chime beneath them is a lovely extra detail.

patterned rugs and floor cushions

Last but definitely not least, we have this colorful picnic-style setup. I love the mix of red, orange and blue patterns!

The low table and scattered cushions give you a different option from the chairs above.

Try a temporary version on a dry day with rugs suited to outdoor use. Add a little vase of flowers to the table to finish it off.
